More about Benya below:

Born March 19, 1989 to Russian immigrants, Benya aspired musically at the age of eight with the help of his family’s everlasting support. Throughout middle school, he attained various writing awards and recognitions, including the MENCs 59th National Composition Award. In 2006, Russian Mosfilm director Valeri Rubinchik commissioned Barshai to score for his drama film Nanking Landscape. During high school, Benya began studying composition with Dr. Ira Taxin at the prestigious Juilliard School Pre-College Program. After a few semesters at Berklee College of Music, and Ithaca College, Benya is currently studying Jazz Guitar Performance at Kutztown University with Guitar Professor David Cullen, and Jazz Director/Trumpeter Dr. Kevin Kjos

Coal Town Rounders is a hard driving four piece traditional bluegrass band from various parts of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Drawing influence from all types of old time string bands and bluegrass standards. Playing as much as possible allows many different sorts of folks to enjoy the music they play. They pick. They grin. They do it often. Thanks for listening!

Friday, May 26th – A Night of Sweet Melodies with Chatham Street

This dynamic married duo won 15 songwriting awards, been live on NPR radio, performed in multiple states, shared the stage with John McCutcheon, Catie Curtis, and many more.  They were just nominated for two awards for Washington DC’s version of the Grammy’s, for Folk Contemporary Group of the Year, and for Folk Contemporary Recording of the Year, for their second release, “All That Mattered”

Saturday, June 2 An Evening of Opera with Dorothy Stone     

Dorothy StoneDorothy Stone is a world-class opera and concert singer, performing throughout the United States and in Europe. Ms. Stones’  versatility, sensitivity and prowess will give you chills and the acclamations accompanying her performances know no end. Some of Dorothy Stone’s achievements include receiving the Paris Opera AROP career grant, coaching the operatic repertoire with legendary soprano Regine Crespin in Paris, singing in Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Hall as the American representative of the International Tchaikovsky Competition and singing for the late French President Francois Mitterand as part of D-Day 50th anniversary concerts along the coast of Normandy. Join us for this striking performance!

    attended sarah hawthorne and open mic night this evening and HAD A BLAST! my daughter overly enjoyed themselves and then some!!!! will definetly be back for seconds! :)
